Escapism particularly in the Outer Banks
For too long people have known about the Outer Banks of white sand beaches lapped by crystal clear waters. Some believe that the Outer Banks have become all too familiar. During the summer season, many the beaches of banks, including Kitty Hawk, Duck and Nags Head in the north, and Morehead City, Emerald Isle, Salter Path and the south Atlantic beach is full and congested. Tourists and residents are forced to crawl along the one-lane road that runs inside and outside the area. In these places serving the tourist industry that sustained, sacrificed some of the characters that small, people have kept silent. Ocracoke-Located at the southern tip of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Ocracoke is accessible only by ferry. There is a free ferry from the national seashore north than takes forty minutes. Cedar Island to the south there is a charge of fifteen dollars to bring a car, three dollars for a bicycle, and a dollar for individuals. This trip lasts about two hours. Ocracoke is a small island and many people decide to leave the car on the continent, with a bicycle, or rely on their feet for transportation. Ocracoke gets its share of tourism, but the focus is much more low key than most other island hotspots. Many birds come to the island to take a break from migration. There are plenty of walking trails and beaches where many people also enjoy fishing. You can find everything you need in the Tradewinds bait and against to the store. If you have any luck on the water, eat something in the Howard pub, with some of the best seafood on the island, a huge beer list, and audacity to stay open during hurricanes.
Cedar Island home decisions in the midst of a National Wildlife Refuge, located northeast of Morehead City, Cedar Island is a of the best places to see migrating waterfowl and other species of flora and fauna. Cedar Island is not much in the way of business premises, but many people believe to be one of the strongest of its assets. There are several places to stay on the island, including the Driftwood Motel. Located on the water, the Driftwood has a motel, camping and seafood restaurant with a gift shop. Cedar Island benefits from east facing beaches, unlike those of Ocracoke, which helps protect it from the fury of tropical storms and hurricanes that sweep the area.
The rest of the south-Best of Cedar Island to Beaufort and Morehead City, pass through quiet towns Atlantic, Davis and sea level.
