Dental cleaning under anesthesia for elderly cats?

I just adopted a senior cat (14 years) and took him to the vet as I wanted to see blood over and done for general health reasons. The vet recommends having your teeth cleaned under anesthesia after receiving final blood results back in a week because it is very thin and the teeth are not in perfect condition. I know this is the best for him, I just need to know how much is the risk of anesthesia in the cat's age? I would ask the vet, but my French is not so good, o)

The veterinarian will take a look at the blood test and identifies the indicators if the cat will not be While under anesthesia. When I worked at the VA hospital saw more cats to go in cleaning your teeth. I recommend getting it done as I have seen more cats and dogs with horrible teeth to the point of all his teeth had to be pushed. Since the cat is older, we hope to have some teeth pulled. It will be better and less painful the cat.
