Senior Cat Vomiting

senior cat vomiting
What could be wrong with a senior cat if she throws up when she eats and even when she doesnt?

She's about 8 or 9 (she's a stray, we don't know the exact age).
When we feed her normal food, she throws it up.
Even when she has nothing in her belly, she vomits up fluids.
Does anyone know what might be wrong with her?

Btw, I'm aware that she needs to see a vet. I have an appointment. I just want to know what your prior experience is...?
She eats dry food, and sometimes wet food. Whiskas usually.

8 or 9 isn't a senior, that's just middle age.

Being a stray, she could have worms -- roundworms or tapeworms will often cause vomiting (been there a few times), even just fluids.

She also might have a sensitive tummy. As cats move into middle age and on, their systems become more sensitive and develop corn, grain, and gluten allergies. I also have a cat that can no longer tolerate dry food (not just the grain allergies) -- once I stopped the dry food, the vomiting stopped immediately.

Those are the simplest and most easily handled (even at home).

You can often soothe the stomach with a pinch of baking soda mixed into wet food or tablespoon of yogurt (no Aspartame).
