Scratching Cat Behavior

My 9-year-old is chasing the cat and the things invisible scratch on the wall ... Any idea why?
My cat is acting very strange. He goes through periods of time in which darts around the house and begins to stalk the invisible things on the wall. Even will stand on its feet back against the wall and zero in it. It seems very nervous anxiety. I do not know why. I'd really like to be able to help you relax. Moreover, its behavior is quite annoying - especially in the early hours of the morning. It is an indoor cat and outdoors. I feed him dry food. How to play with it! It is truly a cat crazy - he's funny and loves to have a good conversation. She loves attention - and get a bith very good too! I really just wanted to know if this is "Normal" behavior ...
That is normal cat behavior, I also called the crazy cat. Some run around the house chasing nothing, others will paw on the carpet or on the wall like some hunting. My cat does this at the same time every day, around 7 or 8 years after get home from work. It's just pent-up energy that needs release. If your cat is doing this when you're trying to sleep you may have to close the door your bedroom to keep it out. You'll probably start doing this at other times during the day and no one watching. Cats love to show off.
