Rid Of Cat Flea
How can I rid my cat of fleas, nothing from the vet or store works.?
We can only use Frontline or the like once a month and bathe the cat about once a month, and the fleas are back in a matter of a few days. We bombed the house to no avail
Your current issue is environmental contamination withh fleas and no amount of products are going to treat that immediately. Due to the life cycle of the flea, there are going to be pupae in the environment that are untouched by anything that you use to treat the environment. These pupae will continue to hatch out of their "cocoons" for a few months so you will continue to see fleas for that long. The good news is that when these fleas come out, the first thing they need is a blood meal and they are going to go for your pet and the Frontline will kill them. But it will take at least a couple of months to completely get rid of environmental contamination no matter what else you do so you are just going to have to wait it out. At least with using the montly topical you are killing the fleas as they hatch out before they can lay more eggs in the environment so you will break the cycle.
Also, do not bathe your pet for 24 hours before or after you apply Frontline or you will prevent it from being effective.
