Also joining the cast are Hall's real-life wife Jennifer Carpenter as Dexter's sister, Debra Morgan as a detective of the show, and James Remar as Dexter's deceased father, Harry.

A short time after, Harry discovers that Dexter is a sociopath, killing neighborhood pets. He teaches him to channel his violence toward people who actually deserve it, criminals that have killed once and will kill again if not stopped.
In his adult life, which the show on satellite TV primarily covers, Dexter keeps his line of work and his job on the side closely integrated. Through his job as a blood spatter analyst, he can hide in plain sight as well as cover up his tracks. He closely follows "the Code," instructions and guidelines from his father to cover up his tracks. However, he does keep a trophy of each of his victims, a small incision on the right cheek of his victims that he keeps between two glass slides.
Also a product of Dexter's serial killer side is an emotion-less personality, which you can see on satellite TV. He attempts to cover up by simulating into the stereotypical lifestyle of the nuclear family by dating Rita, who is actually too mentally and emotionally scarred by past boyfriends that she doesn't require too much emotion from Dexter.
The new season of Dexter begins on September 26, 2010 on satellite TV. This allows the entire summer for catching up on the four seasons, pulling you into the blood and drama that is Dexter.
