Outdoor feline enclosure instruction

You can supply your cat with hours of entertainment as well as a safe and warm place to sleep with a cat house. You can buy cat houses in retailers, but you can make a cat house for even less with your own two hands. Modification of the cat house is possible if you finish the project on your own, and it will be at no additional cost to you.

1. Go out and buy the following from your hardware store: 1-4x8 sheet of 3/8"plywood, 3-2x4x8 stud, 1 box of 5/8" wood screws and some carpet remnants.
2. So that you are left with 2 evenly sized 4'x4' squares, cut your plywood in one half. To get four equal sized pieces, cut your current pieces in half again. At this point you should be looking at 8- 2'x2' equally sized pieces. These will be the walls and the roof and floor of the cat property.
3. Trim all three of your 2x4x8 studs into equivalent 2' lengths. You need to at this moment contain twelve 2' sections.
4. Arrange the stud sections into the design of a box and attach them with the wood screws.
5. Attach the floor, roof, side pieces, and back board to the body with wood screws.
6. Trim a tiny opening into the front panel, significant enough for the cat to effortlessly stroll in and out but not far too big as to let in a draft, and then connect it to the shape.
7. The carpet remnants should at this point be used to cover the entire house. Utilize a staple gun to connect the carpet. The cat's claws can now be used to scratch and stretch on this instead of the furniture.
8. A pre-made cat bed or cozy blanket should now be chucked in to the cat house for the cat's relaxation.

Your self-made cat house is at this point complete. As this house is not protected from the rain it must be kept indoors. Rain runoff, however, can be stopped by getting a triangular frame and nailing a few shingles to it. If you are going to keep your cat house outside you should bypass the step with the carpet as it will sour in the rain and sun. If you want this house to endure you need to allow for water sealer to be applied before the rain ruins the coat.

You can give your cat a warm and safe place to sleep without being too extravagant or expensive. You can add your own individual touch to the rules outlined above.
