My cat has an eye problem...?
So, I have had my cat for about 3 years. Her name is Ami. She happens to have this strange eye problem. On her left eye, it leaks brown/red stuff. At first, I thought it was blood, so my mom and I rushed her to the vets. But the vet said that it wasn't blood, and they couldn't figure out what it was. They just looked at us, said it wasn't blood, and sent us on our way. They didn't do tests or anything... They just said that it was genetic. I was just wondering, does anybody else have this problem with their cats? If so, what did the vets say? And if anybody out there is a vet, then can you please tell me what it is? My cat isn't sick. She is perfectly normal. And it doesn't hurt her. It's really weird.. I just want to know what it is!!

My cat is a strictly inside cat. She never goes outside. And she has had it since she was a kitten. And it never goes away.. Sometimes its dried. But most of the time it just leaks.
My cat's eye is doing that right now. Its residual from a severe upper respiratory infection she had. I am not sure if it will go away or not.
I know that doesn't help much...
