Indoor Cat Furniture Repellent

Has anyone used an indoor and outdoor repellent for dogs and cats?

I am buying new furniture and I do not want my dogs on it. I've been trying to train to stay out, but without success. Thanks for any suggetions.

Get a spray bottle, put a little water. And when your dog gets on your furniture, Squirt him / her in the face.
