Staffy training tips ... please!?

Just adopted a beautiful 8 week old staffy x kelpie (he has no name yet) ... I would like to start training as soon as possible, any advice and / or ideas on how to start and what should I start? Also, does anyone know any stores good cheap or discounted in line to buy pet food (etc toys, beds, food)?

If your Staffy crossed with a Kelpie is going to be correct to assume that you are in Australia? If so, the recommended age to start puppy classes is 16 weeks old. Usually ranging from 8 weeks and only about $ 100 for the course. A good book to read is called * The Power of Positive Dog Training by * Pat Millner. You can start with some basic dog training Now, how to make your dog sit * before * (y) of each food. If Google NILIF (Nothing in life is free) get a lot of good advice. I base my training dogs around this philosophy. As for tips on things CHEAPS. Go to your local Red Cross to find some oversized pillow cases and fill with two pillows low price, it only costs a few dollars and makes a great bed until it's out of the chewing phase. Even I have a large basket of Rocco, who was his first bed until I I have a better vet. You do not want a puppy to chew on a good bed! Also in charity shops you can find cheap kids toys are rubber good for the puppies. Choose wisely, however, nothing that can be swallowed (or anything with buttons for that matter). I used to also go to the hardware store and buy Thick cotton rope toys and make my own rope. Kongs are too large, may be a little expensive at first, but can be used over and over again. Good Luck.
