Cats can catch human diseases?
What diseases do cats get it? If we spread them? Are they contagious to us? What conditions or diseases kill cats? If the kittens a different story? PLEASE HELP with any information you know about cats and disease.
There are two classifications of the disease, contagious and zoonotic. contagious disease transmitted from one species to the same species. Zoonotic diseases are transmitted specials from one species to another. For example, feline immunodeficiency virus, virus Feline infectious peritonitis and feline leukemia is contagious and can not be transmitted from cat to humans or the cat. Leptospirosis is zoonotic and can easily be transmitted from one animal to another. Here are some of zoonotic diseases; bartonelosis nonfatal and typically goes away by itself. Salmonellosis, non-fatal and treatable. Usually resolves itself. Larva migrans visceral potentially fatal, but serious and effects eyes and other organs. non-fatal parasitic skin infections, larva migrans ringworm nonfatal non-fatal, nonfatal non-fatal toxoplasmosis, cryptosporidiosis, giardiasis For usually treatable, but more difficult with those who have a lowered immune system. Rabies is usually fatal in cats and dogs, but treatable if contracted in humans. leptospirosis, potentially fatal in cats in a couple of weeks, but it takes several months for humans to show symptoms.
