2 Surefire Ways to Train Your Cat From Scratch
There are many ways to train your cat out there on the Internet, some more effective than others. I have come up with two sure fire ways to help train your cat and I have found them to be very efficient in training my own cats.
When I first got my three cats they always had a tough time going through the cat flap in my basement door so that they could go down to the litter box and go to the bathroom.
Well, I was puzzled as to what to do when I first saw this but I immediately thought of cat nip, which is pretty much a drug that excites cats when they smell it and they go crazy for it.
Method #1
I decided to put a piece of cat nip on a string on the other side of the door so that they would smell the treat and go rushing through the cat flap and into the basement.
Once they were on the other side it never failed because all three of them would always go right down the steps, go to the bathroom, and then come back up and go through the cat flap the other way.
Method #2
Another way that I trained my cats was by teaching them how to come for their dinner whenever I set out food and call them to come.
Now, this would seem like a simple task, but it's really not because when my cats first came home and it was dinner time, they would never come, and since it was wet Cat Food it would always spoil before they got there and it would just go to waste every time.
I started calling all of their names whenever I put the food dish down, always remembering to use a kind voice along with the word come, and after about a week of doing this every time I put the food down, the cats just started coming on their own as soon as they heard the food bowl hit the floor.
There are tons of other ways of training your cat to do pretty much whatever you want them to do out there, but I have found that the way I trained my cats to do these certain tasks is very effective and easy to do.
