3 Simple Tricks to Quickly Train Your Cat to Be Well Behaved
I am sure that we have all heard of people training dogs and how easy it is and if only cats could be trained like that then they would be so much easier to take care of and might actually be better to have in your house than a dog.
Well, I am here to tell you that I have trained my three cats using three simple steps, and you too can train your cat very easy and very quickly. Now, when I started training my cats I never thought it would work because I had never seen it done before, but my neighbor showed me these three steps and now I almost can call my cats dogs because they are trained that well.
The first step is to simply let your cat know when they are doing something wrong or when they do something good. By this I mean pretty much train your cat in the rules of your house, whether it be telling them no when the scratch up the carpet, or when they go to the bathroom somewhere they are not supposed to, or simply when they are somewhere that they should not be.
I found this to be very effective because one of my cats would always go to the bathroom on the rug, or on the kitchen floor, and after a while I just started telling him no and rubbing his face in it, and not too long after he stopped.
The next step in teaching your cat how to behave properly is to give them attention. Usually when a cat comes up to the couch that you are sitting on, or rubs across your leg, they want attention and most of the time they just want to be petted.
Also, play with your cat in any way you can think of. Buy them Cat Toys, or run around the house with them, or just put them on your lap and rub their belly. My cats love when I show them attention and play around with them. If you give them attention, they will be very nice and obedient to you in return.
The third and final step in teaching your cat to behave should not even be mentioned because it is so simple, but some people do forget to do this. Simply clean out the litter box. A cat who goes to the bathroom in a clean environment will always be obedient and nice.
