Cat Health Vomit

My cat eats then vomits. What can I do to get him to slow down?
My cat has dry food ALL THE TIME and I feed him wet food at dinner. Sometimes he eats so fast that he walks a couple steps and throws it all up. He is 14 and plays like a kitten and is in excellent health including dental (just at the vet 2 months ago)
What can I do to slow him down?
It's only after eating the wet food when he vomits!
My 9 year old cats do that sometimes, I watch them while they eat, if they don't take it slow, I'll make a noise or walk close to them to distract them and they slow down with that.
My husband's approach is a little different, he'll chase them from the kitchen if he sees they're not coming up for air while eating.
I'm feeding Wellness so I know it's not a food quality issue, they just really love it, Turkey and Lobster...how can you go wrong? They don't do it with the dry that's available all day, just the wet that only gets served 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening.
