can i use flea/tick spray on a cat that just had kittens.?
Hi there, our moggy just had kittens(4) , with the hot weather and resent rains sydney is expecting a plaque of fleas and ticks , is there anything that i can use on my cat and kittens , such as flea powders, collars, sprays, all to control the insects? thank you all.
Never use anything you haven't got from a vet. You need to be very careful with a cat with kittens as some flea treatments are toxic. Always get advice !
BTW flea collars are very bad news even to a cat without kittens, they cause at the very least irritation of the cats neck and at the most, they can kill a cat ! Also you should never bath a cat or kittens,it ruins their fur.
Remember always get any medication of any sort from a vet,it may cost a little more but it does the job and it's safe.
