Boarding FacilitiesI?

I don't mean to profit from the misfortune of others... however:
I am creating a section on my pet sitting website (http://bossoli.com)
about the negative aspects of putting your pet in a boarding facility when you are away.

Can you please share stories about your experiences with boarding your cat or dog while you were away? All in all was it a positive or negative experience? What was your opinion about the cost? Opinion about the care of your pet and the environment of the facility?

Kennels are dirty and a haven for parasites! They are conducive to bullying behaviours between dogs and cause great stress to the animals. The chances of mauling are greatly increased, and fence fighting (through chain link) is common, which results in nose and lip injuries. Puppies younger than 12 months should NEVER be housed in kennels because they still have a chance of contracting parvo (even if vaccinated!). Kennels are cheaper than hiring a pet sitter...but keeping your pet at home is far better than putting them in a kennel. Ask a vet to endorse your pet sitting business, and you will have clients calling you like crazy! I too run a pet sitting business...have a look at my website, thecrittersitter.ca. And by the way, you have a really nice website!
