Alternative Declawing Cats
What alternative to declawing a cat?
So me and my mother is thinking of getting a cat, but she does not want you to give the tear up the furniture or anything, but every one of his friends say it is not recommended because they believe declawing is inhumane and unnecessary mutilation, although still my mom wants to know if there another way?! PLEASE HELP!
Keep your nails trimmed. A cat scratch furniture, wooden door frames and other things as a form of exercise. Get a good scratching post that is tall. Carpet is not the best material, because it can not grasp and catch their claws properly. Get some jute. I used to have a cat who just loved to handle in my wicker basket. Cheaper than replacing a sofa, so let's use their personal scratching post. When I was a kitten he loved with my jeans to grab onto ... and especially when I was wearing them! You could take old jeans and make a cover for a scratch after them well. Good luck!
